Friends Care Community Services was incorporated as a not-for-profit subsidiary organization of Friends Care, Inc. in 2003. In collaboration with Coventry Resources, Inc., Friends Care Community Services' primary focus is on the LifeStyle Solutions Plan, which brings a package of continuing care-at-home services to senior persons living in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. metro areas.
An innovative program
which includes the mechanisms for improving and maintaining every aspect of
a person’s wellness, LifeStyle Solutions
also brings the financial
security of paying for many of the services through a long term care
insurance plan. This retirement choice offers the protection of a wellness
program, home maintenance, and health care services to individuals who are
not yet ready to move to a retirement community, as well as to some who
prefer the option of remaining in their current homes as long as possible.
Members of the program use wellness assessments and planning, HomeWorks
referrals, and long term care management to continue living active and
fulfilling lives in their own homes. The long term care insurance
element of the program ensures that when benefit services are required, they
will be financially covered by the LifeStyle Solutions Plan.
As the Lead Provider for the program, Friends Care Community
Services, Inc. assists with new member orientation, helps members access the
program services, develops member activities, coordinates the network of
preferred providers who are responsible for direct services to the members,
and manages care coordination for members.
